As a Certified General Appraiser, and drawing on my extensive experience, I can efficiently and effectively administer all laws and regulations for Jefferson County property owners so that all taxable property is fairly and equitably valued.
Through fair and equitable property valuations across the board, I want to make sure that large entities are held responsible for their fair portion of property taxes, so homeowners aren’t burdened with having to pay more than is necessary.
I aim to achieve this through fair and equitable property values. Ensuring that large corporations are held accountable for contributing their fair portion of property taxes. Preventing homeowners from bearing an undue tax burden.
I want to ensure the Assessor’s office treats people like human beings, not numbers. We’re here to serve you–the residents of Jefferson County.
Experience Matters. If elected, I would be the first Jefferson County Assessor to hold a Certified General Appraiser license and the only Assessor in Colorado to hold the Certified Assessment Evaluator (CAE) designation by the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO). This means I can bring greater accuracy and efficiency to the Assessor's Office.
I have over 23 years of appraisal experience, working in the private sector for some of the largest real estate companies in the world as well as small, local appraisal companies. I also have experience working as an appraiser in the Jefferson, Denver, and Arapahoe County Assessor's offices.
I’m just a regular guy who wants to have an impact on his community. Since 2006, I’ve lived in Colorado with my beautiful wife of 19 years, Melinda, and our three children.
Some of our family's favorite restaurants that we frequently visit in Littleton are Pho 9, Tacos Selene, Los Dos Portrillos, and Iwayama Sushi. When I’m not working or spending time with my family, I enjoy the three B’s: board games, Broncos, and beers.
“That’s the way we’ve always done it,” isn’t a reason to keep doing things. The Assessor’s office has made many great changes over the last eight to ten years, and I will build off of those changes, with better technology, communication, and educated employees emphasizing customer service.
The Assessor’s office has the ability to raise or lower the value of a property–not your taxes. We shouldn’t lower the value of a property unless it is supported by the market, nor should we increase your property’s value unless we have data that supports this.
